Wordless Wednesday: Nearly Christmas

Fluffy Rumps Review

I bought these fleece covers from FluffyRumps last month and have been using them constantly to get good use out of them and see how they hold up.  I am never sure what size to get since he is still young and just starting to be mobile, so I emailed Rhonda and gave some details and she replied promptly as to the size suggestions.  So I purchased a Large regular soaker to use under Bubby's pants and such (he was 24lb at 8 months old, now is 25lbs at 9 months):
Isn't the snowman so cute!
These work great!  The rise is high enough to cover his diaper completely and it is still trim to fit under his pants.

Little Bear Bums Wipes and Cubes review

I recently won a sampler of wipe cubes (white tea and ginger) and a set of wipes from Little Bear Bums.
My first impression was the wipes (sherpa/velour) are SO soft and the wipe cubes smelled so good!  I went out that day and bought a new spray bottle to put my wipe solution in!

To make up the wipes solution is super easy as well.  I just recently started making the switch to cloth wipes and this was the first wipe cube solution I have used.  All you do to make up the solution is boil a cup of water, toss in a cube, wait a few seconds for it to dissolve and it is ready to either pour over your wipes, or as in my case, let it cool a bit and pour into your spray bottle.

Wordless Wednesday: Woodworking Momma

I am a Woodworking momma and just in case you don't believe me here is me working with Bubby on my back in my new Action Baby Carrier (isn't the print cute!) from Lil Roos and next to me is Little Missy "helping" me work.  This is the only way I can get any scrolling done recently.

Our business-Past work: Cherry Sleigh Bed

I haven't posted about our business recently. This is mainly because I am not sure what to post next.
So I have decided I would start a little series of posts of previous projects we have done.  Today's post is about a custom cherry sleigh bed we made.  This will by no means be a comprehensive post, but it will give you an idea of some of the things we have done in the past.

Custom Built Cherry Sleigh Bed
This bed was built a few years ago and has 2 matching nightstands that go with it.  The lady that ordered it wanted to be able to sit up in bed and read comfortably without having to use pillows and such.  So we built this bed and fitted the headboard to fit the curve of her back as she was sitting.  The foot board also has hand carved detail down the side.

Pj's Monkey Butt Trainer Review & Giveaway!

Congrats to Mandy Kauffman for winning the Pj's monkey butt trainer!  You have been emailed please contact me within 48 hours to claim your prize :)

First I would like to thank Jamie with Pj's Monkey Butt   for sponsoring the giveaway that accompanies this review.

Jamie started her WAHM business in May shortly after the birth of her son.  She makes all kinds of great items from the trainers I got to review, to cloth diapers, nursing covers, mei tai carriers (which I am totally thinking about getting, though I really don't need another carrier :) and personalized blankets
As an part time ECing mommy I wanted to have Bubby in mostly trainers when he hit 6 months old.  As a WAHM myself, I love to support others like my.  So when the opportunity to review 3 custom made WAHM trainers came it was too good to pass up!  For review I received 2 daytime (dogs and dinos) and 1 night time (cow) trainer.  These trainers are made with Outer Flannel/knit with hidden PUL, inner Flannel, the Soaker is 2 layers of zorb for daytime and 3 layers for nighttime.

Photo Challenge Day 21 and 22

Since I won't be on tomorrow because I will be at the Natural Family Living Expo I will go ahead and post today's and tomorrows pictures :)

Day 21 – A picture of something you wish you could forget.
Nothing.  I truly believe our choices and experiences make up who we are.  So we should always learn from our past and never try and forget anything.  One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Extreme Days: "When God throws a curveball, don't duck you might just miss something"

Day 22 – A picture of something you wish you were better at.
Sewing, in general, and diaper/trainer making more specifically.  Yes, I made this diaper, but it took a long time and didn't turn out quite right.

Photo Challenge Day 18

Day 18 – A picture of your biggest insecurity.

That would be me!  I lack self confidence in most areas.  I always try and do things better so that I can feel confident in my work (whether it be woodworking, mother, wife, daughter, etc).  I have friends that believe I can do anything (and they have tried to prove me wrong by having me do it!)  I have learned if I truly try hard everything usually turns out fine :)  I love making things (woodworking, sewing, knitting/crocheting, etc) but still lack confidence in offering what I make to others (there will be a blog post soon on making my daughter's Halloween costume though :)
My favorite picture of me that I took, 29 weeks pregnant with Bubby :)

Photo Challenge Day 17

Day 17 – A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.
Bubby can now use the big potty!  (He is 6 months old in this picture)  ECing has been a challenge as it is really different with a boy than with Little Missy.  Size is also a challenge.  I was not able to hold him over a bowl while nursing like I did her, since he was so much bigger.

Photo Challenge Day 16

Day 16 – A picture of someone who inspires you.

I can't really do this one because most everybody in my life has inspired me at some point on my life with them.

But I always listen to the OC Supertones when I need to be lifted up and refocus my life/thoughts on God

Facebook messages

I know I have explained this to several people and I know they CAN'T be the only ones that don't know about this, so I decided to make a blog post so I can just send people to it :)

When someone (page or person) PMs (private messages) you on facebook and they are not your friend it will not go into your messages inbox until you have replied back.  I know several pages try and contact giveaway winners this way, and I know I would hate to miss winning something because I couldn't find their message.  So here is the quick and easy way to find that message that they said they sent, but you can't locate in your inbox:

Step 1:  On your home page in the upper left corner under your profile picture there is a navigation menu.  You will want to click on the one that says "messages"

Blog Award: The Versatile Blogger!

I would like to send a big THANK YOU!  to This Flourishing Life for presenting me with my very first blog award, "The Versatile Blogger"

By accepting this award I agree to do the following:
•Thank the blogger who awarded me with a link back to him/her.
•Share seven things about myself.
•Pass the award on to seven other newly discovered blogs.

About me:
1. I am a Christian lady, but don't say that a lot since there are so many "Christians" that give Christ some bad representation.
2. I believe in the works I do should show that we are a family of faith
3. I am addicted to cloth diapers/trainers (FLUFF!!!)
4. Fall is my favorite season, it is just so pretty!
5. I have a BS in Biology, which I hardly use, but was able to take some courses that we use often in our woodworking business.
6. I love my kids, but they can try my patience!  I hate not being able to figure out why Bubby is upset :(
7. Aaron and I have been married for 7 years!  We started dating Sept 11, 2001 and got engaged our senior year of high school

I am passing the award on to:

Bird's Nest Diapers
